This dream could represent a conflict between societal expectations and the desire for personal freedom and expression. The young lovers represent a desire for love and connection, even in difficult circumstances. The Viking culture or religion may symbolize a feeling of being trapped or oppressed. The violence and guilt experienced by the young man may represent the struggle to reconcile the desire for peace with the reality of violent conflict.
The young woman's decision to become a witch and reject societal expectations may represent a desire for independence and a rejection of traditional gender roles. The tension and fear between the two characters when they finally meet again may represent the fear of vulnerability and the unknown. The final resolution of the conflict may represent a potential for forgiveness and understanding.
